He was born Anakin Skywalker to Shmi Skywalker on the planet Tatooine. Both were slaves to a Toydarian named Watto, and they hoped for a better life. Anakin had no father, and he had the highest midi-chlorian count of all life forms, which caused speculation that he was conceived by the midi-chlorians. He is a mechanic, a pilot, and a pod racer. His worst enemy is a Dug named Sebulba, who is mean and a cheater in pod races. When he was 9 years old, he met Qui-Gon Jinn, Jar Jar Binks, R2D2, and Padme, he believed they came to free slaves. He developed a crush on Padme, asking her if she's an angel, saying that angels were the most beautiful creatures in the universe. Later a sand storm struck, and Anakin took everyone to his mother's house for dinner. He introduces Padme and R2D2 to C-3PO, an unfinished protocol droid he found in a scrap pile. During dinner, his mother explains the problems slaves have to endure. Anakin said he was working on a machine to locate the device hidden inside the bodies of slaves, but was unsuccessful. Padme explained that they were on Tatooine because their ship was damaged, and he decided to help by entering a pod race the next day. His mother isn't happy about it, but realizes that it's the only thing to do. After defeating Sebulba and winning the race, Watto frees him from slavery, but won't free his mother. Anakin is devastated, but his mother reassures him that they will see each other again. After arriving on the planet Coruscant, he meets Senator Palpatine, and asks the Queen to say goodbye to Padme, because of the possibility of never seeing her again. Unknown to everyone, Padme was the real Queen and she used Sabe, her decoy and bodyguard, to protect her when necessary. After meeting the Jedi Council, he's disappointed when the Jedi Masters said he was too old for training, and having much fear inside him. Yoda especially believed Anakin's future was clouded. Qui-Gon Jinn believed Anakin was the chosen one, while his apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi believed that Anakin was dangerous. After arriving on the planet Naboo, Jar Jar Binks helps everyone find the other Gungans to prepare for war. Padme eventually reveals her identity, and apologizes for her deception. Anakin is shocked, but understands the importance of the Queen protecting herself from harm. During the battle, Anakin and R2D2 try to protect themselves in one of the ships, but it's on automatic pilot and R2D2 had to shut it off before they're both killed. Unknown to Anakin, he made his way inside the droid ship and fired inside the ship to blow it up. Qui-Gon Jinn was killed by Darth Maul during a lightsaber fight. Before his death, he told Obi-Wan Kenobi to train Anakin, because he was the chosen one, and Obi-Wan Kenobi agreed. The Jedi Council agreed to make Obi-Wan Kenobi a Jedi Knight and Anakin his apprentice, despite Yoda's misgivings. A funeral was held for Qui-Gon Jinn, and the next day, a peace celebration was held and Anakin had a new padawan appearance. He and the Queen smile at each other.Ten years later, Padme is a senator and Obi-Wan Kenobi and a grown-up Anakin Skywalker are assigned to protect her from assassination attempts. When things get out of hand, Anakin is ordered to take Padme to Naboo to protect her. They fall in love, which is forbidden by Jedi, since they're not allowed to have attachments. Anakin has nightmares about his mother, and they go to Tatooine to see his former slave master, Watto who sold his mother to a moisture farmer named Cliegg Lars. He freed her and married her. Anakin sees C-3PO and meets Cliegg, his son, Owen, and Owen's girlfriend, Beru Whitesun. Cliegg explains that the Tusken Raiders kidnapped his mother, and he lost his leg in the fight. She was gone for a month and believed dead. Anakin goes to the encampment and finds his mother barely alive. She dies in his arms and Anakin flies into a rage, activating his lightsaber and slaughtering the entire encampment. He returns to the Lars' home with his mother's lifeless body, and Padme tries to talk to Anakin about what happened. Anakin believe he could have saved his mother, and wanted to stop people from dying. Anakin said: It's all Obi-Wan's fault! He's jealous! He's holding me back! He tells Padme about killing ALL the Tusken Raiders and breaks down. A funeral is held outside the Lars' home, and Anakin told his mother he wasn't strong enough to save her, and promised he wouldn't fail again. He missed her so much. R2D2 came to them with a message from Obi-Wan Kenobi and they take C-3PO with them when leaving for the planet Geonosis. They're captured, and Padme tells Anakin she loves him, believing they will both die. After fighting for their lives in the arena with the help of the other Jedi Knights, Yoda arrives with the Clone Army. When Padme falls off the ship, Anakin wants to rescue her, but Obi-Wan Kenobi tells him he'll be expelled from the Jedi Order. They fight Count Dooku, a former Jedi who joined the Dark Side. Anakin has his right arm cut off by Count Dooku's lightsaber and he falls to the ground. Padme and the Clone Army find them. Afterward, Anakin gets his arm and hand replaced and escorts Padme home to Naboo, where they get married in secret by the Naboo holy man with only R2D2 and C-3PO as witnesses. After spending months away from Padme, Anakin returns to her and she tells him she's pregnant. They're both very happy, but Anakin has a nightmare about Padme dying in childbirth. He tries to get help to prevent her death, but is unsuccessful. Anakin also wanted to be a Jedi Master, but the Jedi Council refused his request. Anakin becomes more and more angry about his situation, but doesn't know what to do. Chancellor Palpatine tells him about the Dark Side and tries to persuade Anakin to join him to save Padme's life. At first, Anakin activates his lightsaber to kill him, but couldn't do it, but he killed Count Dooku for cutting off his right arm. Anakin tells the Jedi Council about Palpatine being a Sith Lord and they try to arrest him, but Palpatine fights back with his lightsaber. He even used force lightning but it was deflected back at him, leaving his face disfigured. After Anakin saved Palpatine's life, he decided to join him and is named Darth Vader. He slaughters ALL Jedi Knights and even goes to the planet Mustafar to kill the members of the Trade Federation. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda see a tape of Anakin becoming Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi talks to Padme about what happened. At first, she doesn't believe him, and Obi-Wan Kenobi probes her mind and learns she's pregnant and apologizes. Padme decides to go to Mustafar with Obi-Wan Kenobi hiding inside her ship. She's devastated at what her husband became and begs him to come back to her and that she loves him. When he saw Obi-Wan Kenobi, he accused her of lying and gave her the Force Choke and she lost consciousness and fell to the ground. Obi-Wan Kenobi is shocked and furious and tries to kill him, but they get into a lightsaber fight. Eventually, Obi-Wan Kenobi chops off his left arm and both hisl egs and he falls to the ground. The lava from the ground sets him on fire and he is permanently scarred. Obi-Wan Kenobi takes his lightsaber and leaves. Emperor Palpatine finds him and calls for an immediate medical capsule. He is rebuilt and is given his breath mask. After regaining consciousness, he asks about Padme. The Emperor answered: It seems in your anger, you killed her. Darth Vader is devastated and all the medical equipment around him breaks. Unknown to him, Padme gave birth to twins, Luke and Leia and died from a broken heart. Show less «
